Well, Spring Break is fast approaching. Friday is a half day for students. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.
I will miss you all next week, but believe me, I will enjoy the time off. :) I hope you all have fun and don't forget to practice reading everyday.
We will start benchmark testing when you return on April 12th. While you are on vacation, brush up on your reading comprehension, fluency, abc order, recognizing complete sentences, vowels sounds, addition, subtraction, addition and subtraction story/word problems, probability, estimation, place value, counting change that equals to at least $1.00 or less.(quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies) In Science, review recycling and resources(plants, animals, trees, rocks, minerals, and water). The History and Social Sciences skills that need to be review include, economics and holidays (Presidents' Day is celebrated in February to remember all US Presidents especially George Washington and Abraham Lincoln). Economics includes consumers, producers, goods, services, needs, wants, choice,s and savings.
Above all HAVE FUN, REST, AND READ during your break. BE SAFE!:)
